Congratulations to the 2017 JCC Chicago Staff Recognition Award Winners
We love when customers and program participants tell us their “J story.” We hear reflections of summer and swim lessons, exercise classes, travel experiences and special family events. Behind every single one of those indescribable J moments is a dedicated, passionate team of JCC staff making it all possible and amazing.
Today we gathered to celebrate the talented team we are so privileged to work alongside and to recognize four outstanding employees who exemplify our four core values: self-leadership, customer service, teamwork & collaboration and creativity & innovation.
The magic of these awards is that all the nominations came from other staff members, reaching across departments and disciplines to shine a positive light and much-deserved recognition on the great work they do. The 2017 JCC Employee Recognition Award winners are:
Josh Slattery
Financial Manager
Josh is described as “a consistent advocate for all the departments within his purview. He holds leaders accountable by pushing them, but doing so in a constructive and amiable manner.”
Pam Siegel
Manager, Customer Experience
Said about Pam: “She works tirelessly to provide great experiences for every single member, making every interaction both personal and special. She is quick to jump in and help any staff member from any department, and always with a smile on her face.”
Lawrence LeVine
Program Director, Elaine Frank Apachi Day Camp, Program Manager, Community Engagement
Lawrence’s co-workers have said, “Lawrence changes the lives of his program participants. He’s in constant motion and builds strong relationships with people in all departments, as well as with families. He has a special way about him that makes others feel secure.”
Jamie Lake
Marketing Manager, JCC Camping
Said about Jamie, “Jamie thinks outside the box and comes up with new ways to reach and connect with the community. She is instrumental in working with other departments to find ways to cross-promote programs and special experiences.”
