Northbrook (Bernard Weinger JCC)At JCC Chicago, lifeguards and swim instructors play a vital role in the physical and learning development of our students. Working at JCC means working in an active, fast paced and friendly environment. Our emphasis is always on fun, safety and meeting the next challenge for students and instructors alike.
We are now hiring Swim Instructors for two dynamic programs:
- The JCC Swim Lessons is an aquatics education program organized around swimming foundations and designed with an emphasis on safety. From the age of three months, children (and adults) can start at any time and learn and progress at their own pace. Students are taught the American Red Cross swim method, which focuses on correct body positioning and proper alignment from the early stages of lessons. Training in the American Red Cross Swim Instruction principles will be provided.
- JCC Chicago’s All-In Swim (AIS) Program was designed to teach water safety and swim skills for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a comfortable, supportive environment. Our certified instructors use the proven SwimRight® method as the basis for a unique curriculum that focuses on valuable life-saving techniques, recreational swim therapy, and increased independence and self-esteem. If you have not had this specific experience previously, but have the passion, WE WILL TRAIN YOU!
