Policies
For your convenience, JCC Chicago (JCC) accepts cash, checks, American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and electronic bank draft. Registrations are not complete until program fees or deposits are made. Prior to processing registration for any JCC Chicago activity, accounts are reviewed for outstanding balances.Registration cannot be processed until past-due balances are reconciled.
Fees for classes and programs must be paid in full 30 days prior to the start of the class/program or at the time of registration whichever is later. If you register after the program start date, payment is due in full at time of registration. Payment plans are available for long-term programming such as Early Childhood, J at School and Camp.
For anyone choosing to pay for programming by credit card, a 3% non-refundable convenience charge will be applied.
Credits on account must be used within 12 months from date of issuance. After such time, all credits will become null and void.
One off programs: Film festival, events, etc: No refunds given
Ongoing programs: up to 14 days before program 50%. Within 2 weeks of program no refunds/credits will be given.
Fitness: Cancellations must be made in writing with 5 business days prior to the start of the following month. Cancellations, freezes or changes in membership begin on the first of the following month. Members may be added at any time. (Members joining mid-month will receive prorate first month fees.)

All payment plans require an automatic scheduled payment by credit card or bank draft. You may pay your balance with any form of payment prior to the scheduled payment date.
Fee assistance consideration is available for Early Childhood, J at School and Camp programs and services to families demonstrating need. All requests for fee assistance are on a first come, first served basis and are handled confidentially. Standard program fees apply until scholarship award has been confirmed. All returned checks, bank drafts, and credit cards will incur a $20 fee assessed on your account.
Fees are charged in equal monthly installments, regardless of service dates.
JCC Chicago offers a friendly and comfortable environment for all. Inappropriate language and/or conduct will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to remove from the premises any individual acting in an inappropriate manner and further reserve the right to cancel the membership of any such individual.
JCC Chicago reserves the right to cancel the enrollment of an individual for reasons not limited to the following: not observing the rules as outlined on our website, in the program guide or parent handbook; if a child has special needs that cannot adequately be met with current staffing; physical or verbal abuse of staff or children by adult or child; or non-payment of fees.
JCC Chicago strives to meet the community’s needs in every possible way. However, our staff cannot accommodate unsupervised young children. Please leave your child at JCC Chicago only for supervised programs for which your child is registered, and arrange to meet your child at the designated time. Children under 10 years old may utilize open gym and free swim only if accompanied by a parent or designated parent substitute.
JCC Chicago policy requires that children under the age of 10 use the appropriate gender locker room and be accompanied by a same sex parent. Family locker rooms are available for use in other circumstances.
Every person seeking entry to a JCC Chicago location to use the facility, drop off, pick up or visit a child at school, attend a class or event, must identify themselves to JCC Chicago staff or a guard at the entry. A person may gain entry with a valid JCC issued ID, a government issued photo ID, a valid Illinois state driver’s license or a U.S. passport. Visitors without a JCC Chicago issued ID will also be required to sign in at the entry point. Any person refusing to properly identify themselves at the entry point will not be allowed entry. Sign-in logs will be readily available to persons required to sign in.

What Information We Collect and How We Use That Information
Our registration forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, e-mail address, format preference (HTML vs. text), address, interests, and similar information.
Donor Privacy Policy
JCC Chicago does not and will not sell, trade or share a donor’s personal information with any other agency or entity. This policy applies to all information received by JCC Chicago, both online and offline, on any Platform (“Platform”, includes the JCC Chicago website and mobile applications), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. All donors are listed in our annual report unless anonymity is requested.
Internet Protocol Address
We collect an IP address from all visitors to our site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our site, analyze trends, track users’ movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Use of “Cookies”
Our site may use cookies to enhance your experience while using our site. JCC Chicago may videotape or photograph participants enrolled in programs, classes and events or while enjoying JCC Chicago facilities. These photographs are for JCC Chicago publications, flyers, publicity efforts, brochures, web use, other electronic communications or video usage. However, for Early Childhood, a program permission form must be signed to allow a child’s picture and name to be used for publicity purposes by JCC Chicago. This policy is mandated by DCFS. All photos and videos are for JCC Chicago use and become the sole property of JCC Chicago. Please contact the Program Director for photographic exclusions.
In the event of an emergency closure due to weather or other unforeseen causes, updates will be available on our website at jccchicago.org. Refunds will not be given for weather related or other closings that are out of our control.
JCC Chicago does not provide medical insurance coverage for accidents or injuries that occur while attending or participating in any activity at, or sponsored by, JCC Chicago. Some programs require that the JCC Chicago maintains participant medical information and treatment authorization forms on file. We respect the privacy of our participants and maintain confidentiality.
Immunizations
For each child enrolled in JCC Chicago Early Childhood or Camp programming, the parent (or legal guardian) must provide a current immunization record appropriate for the child’s age and a health form signed by the child’s physician or health department representative prior to the first day of the program. If the physical condition of the child is such that any one or more of the immunizing agents should not be administered, the examining physician, advanced practice nurse, or physician assistant responsible for the performance of the health examination shall endorse that fact upon the health examination form. No other exceptions to scheduled immunizations are permitted within JCC Chicago Early Childhood or Camp programming. It is the responsibility of the parent (or legal guardian) to update their file when the health records change.
