Jewish teens will be able to explore areas of genealogy and their family’s history alongside a parent and/or grandparent.
unknown branches of your family
surprising ancestral stories
and connect more deeply with a sense of self through your family’s past
where your family came from
who they were
what they did
the trials they overcame
the accomplishments they achieved
and the dreams they had
Instructors will guide participants as they utilize online ancestry software, learn to understand family data and historical documents, and put their findings together towards a family project and presentation.
Finding Your Roots meets for three sessions on Sunday afternoons: February 23rd, March 23rd, and April 6th. This intergenerational program is open to Jewish 6th-9th graders who must register with a parent and/or grandparent.
